EARTH RETENTION

Furnish and install four (4) each TERS pits for the new Henry Ford Hospital – 13,500 SFT

Pits are four (4) sided with one (1) level of HP12/HP14 walers/ struts:

• Pit 1 – Main elevator pit – 54′ x 51′ x 15′ deep

• Pit 2 – Service elevator pit – 97′ x 65′ x 14.5′ deep

• Pit 3 – 19′ x 133′ x 13.5′ deep

• Pit 4 – 27′ x 43′ x 11′ deep

3″ hardwood lagging was utilized for this solider pile TERS.

Soldier piles were driven and/or pre-drilled 2′ dia. holes.

Bracing was sequentially removed with the solider piles cut-off and abandoned in place.
