BNA Gordie Howe Bridge Siphon Project

2023/2025
- Design of four (4) cofferdams along NB/SB I-75 at Morrell and Ferdinand Street – 85,000 SFT.
- Installation of 329 pair of NZ sheeting to support an excavation depth exceeding 30′.
- Four (4) to six (6) cranes were utilized for simultaneous sequential construction at the locations along I-75 in Detroit.
- Segmental construction w/3 individual pits within each of the main ERS pits to control heave due to poor soils.
- Includes three (3) lines of heavy HP/pipe bracing with a 2′ structural concrete mat.
- Installation of up to 12′ diameter flumes and support at each location to tie into new storm sewers.
