Bascule Bridge Replacement

2013-2014
- Installation of two (2) offshore cofferdams consisting of 55,000 square feet of sheeting braced on three (3) levels to facilitate the removal of the existing bascule bridge in the Rouge River.
- Installation of 16hp88 galvanized piles x 95’ long and 12 x 12 wood timbers on five (5) levels for a marine fendering system. The bottom two (2) levels were installed underwater.
- Four (4) each circular cells consisting of 95’ long PS31 sheet piling with associated bracing and concrete work.
- Install 12hp74 and 18hp204 h-piles x 88’ long for the new bridge supports.
